OUR BELIEFS

Madison Heights Church PCA beliefs can best be summarized as having a high view of Scripture and strong commitment to the message of Jesus Christ.  We can also be defined as reformed, confessional, and historic.  A great starting point for what we believe is the The Apostles' Creed.  Also, the Westminster Shorter Catechism provides a concise summary of our theological beliefs (see link below).  If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact us.

The Apostles Creed (The Symbolum Apostolorum is an early creed that dates from before the 4th century)
"We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:  Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.  He descended into Hell.*  The third day He arose again from the dead.  He ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.  I believe in the Holy Spirit, the universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen." (on the Cross, Christ experienced in a single moment God’s eternal wrath poured out against the sins of His people)
